Juggling Parenting, Pilotage and the Pandemic

Imray Live talk by Jess Lloyd-Mostyn, recently recruited Pilotage Foundation author at 10:00 BST on Saturday 20th June

Imray Live with Jess Lloyd-Mostyn - Juggling Parenting, Pilotage and the Pandemic. This talk will take place on Saturday 20th June at 10:00 BST as Jess and her family are currently in Indonesia! This is a departure from our normal evening slots, but we hope you can spare the time for what we think will be a really interesting session.

Jess and James left the UK in 2011 aboard 'Adamastor' and are still sailing. Unusually amongst other sailing families, they started cruising as a couple and didn't stop to start a family, choosing to dip into the healthcare cultures of other countries and experience pregnancy and birth on three different continents. Their eldest daughter, Rocket (6), was born in Mexico and son, Indigo (4), was born in New Zealand, whilst their youngest, Autumn (20 months), was born on a flying visit back to the UK.
They are currently navigating the Covid-19 situation at anchor in Labuan Bajo, in the Komodo islands. Their travels have taken them to 36 countries, across 2 oceans and over 26,000 miles so far, with their three children born en route. You can follow their journey at www.water-log.com.

Jess is currently revising and updating 'South Pacific Anchorages' for the RCCPF.
