Kelibia

Kelibia is a good combination of port and marina. It is a fishing port, and thus a cheap place to berth. However, it has a quay reserved for pleasure crafts, so you don't have the risk of being squeezed between large fishing boats that can cause damage. It is a large fishing port and very easily accessable for bigger yachts as well. The depths are good in this port, because the fishing boats themselves have a draft of about 2 meters.

The nice thing about Kelibia is the large shipyard. Especially in winter it is a delight to watch all the fishermen paint, fix and rebuild their boats. The quay for pleasure crafts is busy, it is quite possible that you will have to climb over 3 boats to get ashore.

The castle is nice to visit for the view, and to have a quick look into history, but don't expect too much once inside. There are no signs with information, and the team that works there does not have a clue either ;)
