Spencer Spit

Spencer Spit is a very popular anchorage adjacent to the Spencer Spit State park. There are visitors moorings laid close to the shore just to the north of the spit which soon fill up in the summer but there is plenty of space to anchor to the north east of the buoys in 10-15 meters of water with good holding in thick mud.

The anchorage can be a bit rolly in the day with the swell from passing ferries and motor boats, bet despite being relatively open, seems to calm down at nights.

There are also visitor mooring buoys to the south of the spit
