Decatur Head

A relatively new visitors pontoon on the west side of James Islands seems to act as a magnet for most boats visiting this area, leaving the anchorage just to the north west of Decatur Head delightfully free of other boats. The anchorage enjoys just as good views of James Island as the visitors pontoons without the crowds. Although largely open to Rosario Straits the anchorage is remarkable free of swell in southerly winds and is very peaceful, Good holding in thick mud.
