Sylvan Cove

A snug, pretty and little used anchorage on the NW corner of Decatur Island with just enough space for2 or 3 yachts to anchor north of the permanent moorings at the head of the cove. Good holding in thick mud in 7-10 m of water. the winds and tides may swirl you round in this anchorage so you need to plan your swinging room accordingly.

The land around the cove is private but the main reason for anchoring here would be to sit and watch the evening sun highlighting the mountains on Orcas Island a few miles to the north.
