Well buoyed channel once around Wood Point (not obvious before); follow buoyed channel closely, especially past Ferry Point, due to drying area to starboard. Current particularly strong in 1st and last 12th of tide giving need for care when turning onto pontoon. Newly refurbished Lifeboat Inn worth a visit for good food; not cheap.
