Magans Bay, St Thomas USVI

Magans Bay, St Thomas, USVI. 180 2-640 55’ -640 55’.88N

1. Reputably one of the best beaches in the Antilles; not sure why but for whatever reason it is very quiet at night as there are no beach side bars or restaurants!
2. Well sheltered anchorage with good holding in 7-10m in sand. Anchorage is quite close to the marked swimming area due to shelving of the seabed.
3. Clearly marked shoal on port side entering and halfway down the bay is apparently a hazard, but it is clearly marked on the chart and was not seen breaking; easily avoided.
