Big Fish Cay, Caicos. 21deg 22’.11N - 71deg 37’.09W as at 01.04.20.


5nm south of South Caicos, an uninhabited island.
1. Anchorage.
a. Good anchorage on west side (shown on charts) 3-5m over sand with good holding.
b. Need to stand well off to clear the reef at the norther end which pushes well out to the west but is normally obvious.
2. Ashore.
a. Lovely beach; a turtle nesting area, and interesting rock pools and pools with some pools acting as sea salt drying areas on the east coast. A lot of flotsam on the east coast.
b. Good swimming with some lovely coral heads that have created their own beautiful “aquarium” with great coral and fish life.
