At the April 2025 Committee Meeting of the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation, three longstanding trustees retired from their roles, collectively contributing over 25 years of dedicated service to the Foundation.
The Foundation’s Director, James Eaton, along with the entire Management Committee, extends heartfelt thanks to these exceptional volunteers for their wisdom, commitment, and invaluable contributions over the years — both as trustees and as trusted advisors to the Committee.
The retiring trustees are:
Anthony Fawcett – A retired Chartered Accountant and banker, Anthony has provided expert financial guidance since 2015. He has served the Foundation with distinction as both a Trustee and Honorary Treasurer.
Giles Harrison-Hall – A practising barrister and former Vice Commodore of the Royal Cruising Club, Giles has been a Trustee of the Foundation’s Committee since 2015, offering legal insight and governance support.
Nigel Wollen – A retired solicitor specialising in charity law, Nigel brought a wealth of legal expertise to the Foundation since joining as a Trustee in 2016. He is also a former Commodore of the Royal Cruising Club.
James Eaton, Director of the Pilotage Foundation, commented: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside such talented professionals, passionate sailors, and deeply committed volunteers. Your support and guidance have played a vital role in shaping the Foundation’s journey. On behalf of all of us — thank you, Anthony, Giles, and Nigel. You will be greatly missed.”
We extend our warmest appreciation and wish them all fair winds in the future.
