As we say farewell to Ant Fawcett, and thank him for 12 years of dedicated service to the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation, we are delighted to welcome Penny Scott-Bayfield as our new Treasurer.
Penny recently retired as CFO of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, the listed consumer, academic and nautical publisher, following a distinguished career in finance. She is also Chair of Ocean Youth Trust South.
A keen sailor, Penny keeps her Contessa 32 in the Solent and has cruised in home waters as well as around Brittany, North Spain and Norway. She also has a long connection with the Royal Cruising Club, having previously served as RCC Treasurer and earlier as an RCC Cadet Captain.
Ant reflects on his time with the Foundation: “I have really enjoyed being the Treasurer and a Trustee of the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation for 12 years. The Foundation has undergone significant change and expansion during this time, for which we should all feel very proud. The dedication of all those involved has been quite exceptional. It has been a privilege to have been involved with the Foundation.”
