The Pilotage Foundation welcomes expressions of interest in joining our team of editors and
authors.
Pilotage Foundation publications number in excess of 30 titles, each covering a defined cruising area: from remote areas including the Arctic, to cruising grounds with little pilotage information, such as Argentina, to more well-travelled waters around western Europe and the Mediterranean.
The author/editor role takes responsibility for a publication: reviewing feedback and cruising notes, preparing any corrections and updates for an annual supplement, and ultimately researching and preparing a new edition.
Our authors comprise a team of over 20, all experienced sailors, with an interest in the pilotage for their respective areas. You would be reporting to our experienced Editor in Chief who will work with you in applying the standards set by the Foundation and provide support wherever necessary. A fee
would be paid for authoring a new edition.
If such a role is of any interest, I hope that you will contact either Antony Wells, Director (director@rccpf.org.uk) or Emily Winter, Editor in Chief (editor@rccpf.org.uk) so that we can explain further.
