A Cruising Guide to French Guiana, Suriname and Guyana (pdf & EPUB))

The countries of French Guiana, Suriname and
Guyana form a cruising ground that is still well off the
beaten track. Cruising boats visiting these countries
number only a few hundred each year, and the
majority of cruisers visit just a handful of anchorages.
The rest of the region is almost unvisited by tourists
or by cruisers. It is generally undeveloped, and
provides an opportunity for cruisers to experience
pristine rainforest with abundant flora and fauna,
small towns, and jungle settlements of considerable
cultural interest. None of the “cruiser fatigue” all too
often the norm in the Caribbean islands to the north
will be found in these countries.
The RCC Pilotage Foundation is very grateful to
Martin Dixon-Tyrer for all his hard word and to
Ros Hogbin who has edited the text and undertaken
all of the production to bring it to publication. We
are also grateful to Navionics for allowing use of
their images.
