Gig Harbour

Gig Harbour is almost certainly the most sheltered natural harbour in Puget Sound and also one of the more delightful places to visit.

The entrance is narrow and it is essential not to stray too far from a mid channel course but once inside there is plenty of space for anchoring in 8-10m and a host of good alongside berthing opportunities all along the SW shore.

If space is available then Arabella's Landing is a particularly fine and good value place to berth with very clean and modern pontoons and excellent toilets, showers and lounge facilities.

Those wanting to wine and dine ashore will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of hostelries spanning the entire cost and quality spectrum. The Net Shed, just adjacent to Arabella's Landing is a particularly memorable place to eat if you want a traditional American breakfast at its very best,.

Somewhat surprisingly for such a major yachting centre it is not possible to get fuel in Gig Harbour due to environmental restrictions which prevent any of the marinas from having fuel docks. The nearest place to pick up fuel is in the Thea Foss Waterway Tacoma,
